I very much enjoyed this one; really deep and touching story. Quite short too, at only 26 episodes. Be sure to give it a try. And don't let the cuteness put you off, I found this to be a refreshing break from all the action Anime out there.

The series gets off at a good start but becomes dire half way through (but that's where the actual story really begins), where- if you think like me- you'll see the ending from a mile away.

Despite its obvious- and frankly disappointing ending and semi-twisted sense of philosophy- it had its perks. The music was great- although VERY girly and animation was top notch. It had doses of comedy in the right places. After the series I read the manga and can safely say- it was much better than the anime.

It's worth a watch nonetheless, but if I could say something thing to prevent you from being disappointed it would be this: Don't believe the hype.

All in all the anime, to me, seemed on par with the likes of: Hellsing, Paprika, Samurai Champloo, Shakugan no Shana and Shingetsutan Tsukihime.
8/10

I enjoyed this one, but had higher expectations.
the end, as Darkhadou said was quite obvious, though it had a part i didn't quite understand.

right, so it's comic and it has great animation and all, but that's not quite enough. i mad myself finish it, cause it felt repetitive.
also, it ended too abruptly. 15 wasted episodes, a random important-for-the-plot episode and then 3 episodes of extremely dense, barely noticeable char development. then it ends.

one thing i must say - the concept was good. the whole person-robot relationships. the stories of the human girls in the series gave me some food for thought.
for all this, rating as above.
