Well, what can I say about this one? It had a LOT to live up to, and it surely met my expectations, but sadly, didn't really exceed them. I suppose it's near impossible though, when you have something like FFVII to match up to. Regardless, it was still a good film, with great visuals, fight scenes, and a decent plot, but it was mostly just fan service. The story really should have ended with FFVII, where it begun. I don't really like how Square are milking this one game.
Anyway, it's still a must see, so go watch it. I recommend playing the game first though, or there's not much point without it.

It could have been a LOT better... but still It's one of my fav games of all time in a movie what else can I say ?...

FF7 was a legend game. It was always going to be impossible to match it. However, advant children did a lot further than may people thought it would but as i said, never quite was as legendary as its predecessor...

A vapid exercise in visual overkill with no plot worth speaking of. Has pretty fights and nothing else.

Great animation, but very cheesy. I still enjoyed seeing all of the old cast back together, but it seemed a little over the top to be a good movie.

Best enjoyed in screenshots seeing as how the colors, models, and textures are wonderful, yet animation is some of the most unrealistic and weightless I have yet to see in a piece of 3d animation. The plot is a non-issue since there is none.

I loved this movie. Many poeple complain that it didn't live up to the game, but how can you expect a movie that is a little over an hour and a half to have as good of a story as the game?

Beautiful artwork and scenes. Well made fight scenes. Yet other than this the movie has very little to support it. Except for a mediocre plot. Some of the charachters just feel like they're forced in their just so that square could mik some money out of people watching it just too see these charachters again. However this is an entertaining movie if you simply want to sit back and watch. Don't think too much about it and the onscreen action will really keep you entertained. However storywise this isn't exactly a pearl.
