This anime deserves nothing less than a 10. Whoever wrote the script for this is a genius. There are so many twists and turns, psychological chills and action in this anime that it's definetely worthy of being called a masterpiece. The complex storyline is one of a kind and the writing is superb. Without a doubt the best anime I've seen.

Monster is good. It has interesting characters, a good story and all that the other important elements to compose a good thriller anime. It tend's to drag on some times but most of the time you'll be hanging on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happends next.

Absolutely top-notch psychological thrills. Great characters, with animation that shows their emotion uncannily well, great twists, amazingly authentic scenery and locations, very powerful soundtrack. Masterpiece for sure.

Long, but the pacing is superb and there is no filler. Best characterization of foreign nations ever in an anime and must have required extensive research. Mamiko Noto gives a great performance.

This is one of my favorite anime series. It has great characters and a fantastic story. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a great story

I actually liked it quite a bit. The main character was a typical "hero misunderstood by everyone and thought to be a bad guy", and had an extremely aloof antagonist. It had a well-written plot atypical of anime these days. Animation is great, and the research into the subject matter in the main plot (medical terminology, foreign history, etc.) was well done. Regardless of its flaws, I still give it a 9 and consider it to be my favorite anime.

Its way up there with Death note, and Code Geass. Definitely an excellent anime.
