One hell of an emotional rollercoaster, action packed and in-depth storyline in only 13 episodes. Worth the watch 9/10.

I enjoyed this one; finished it in two sittings. The whole series is a true work of art. Great overall presentation, polished animation, and a brilliant soundtrack. Extremely short too, at 14 episodes (or 13 plus one OVA), so the plot is very condensed. Let me just warn you beforehand though, the series contains a lot of graphic scenes depicting nudity, sex, and violence, so steer well clear of this one if you’re easily offended. I would have given this a 9 or a 10, hadn't it been for its single letdown - the plot. Don't get me wrong, I loved the story and the great character development, but there were just too many unfilled plotholes for my liking, and the series ends rather abruptly, which is disappointing. Kinda just left me hanging, if you know what I mean. Anyway, it’s still a great series, and a must-watch for any anime fans. I’m hoping they’ll do a follow-up someday.

Masterpiece. period.
if your heart is not weak,and you're at least 15 or 16, you MUST watch this.
story is awesome. animation is great. soundtrack is great. characters are awesome. development is great.
limbs\heads\blood\fingers\top and lower halves of body\left and right sides of body flying around not so good, but I just can't take a point off that round polished 10!!
don't let the first 5 (or so) minutes mislead you, there aren't too many scenes like that, and there IS a (awesomely great) story here, that is not about hack 'n slash.
just be patient and WATCH IT!!(and enjoy)
