Truly original story that touches on some deep topics and character personalities are easy to relate to. However, the score is inconsistent since it is great at times and terrible at others and the ending leaves many questions unanswered.

oh my God this is the best anime i've seen sice Death Note. However the characters can be a bit irritating and idiotic...still a must see

The first episode of Gantz promises a very interesting story.... unfortunatelly it really does fall short. It could have been much more =\

Liked it a lot. Was quite Controversial and lewd, but because it was so over the top, it was ingenious. Need to read the manga now, since the story seems kinda...Empty.

Solid story, but it suffers slightly from overtaking the manga, and feels a need to wrap things up in a way which seems forced and explains nothing. Fantastic until the last few episodes though.

in two words - it's awesome.
in more - it's a hell of an emotional roller coaster, and you're bound to either watch full of awe or go vomit. there's much to the story and the character design is unique, showing all the dark sides of society that most other animes don't relate to in their "ooh i've gotta save my friends"\"ooh i love him so much"\"i can't do anything because i'm useless. i have to get stronger". this is what made this on of my favorites.
note that the gore here is present always and everywhere, and you'll see guts\brains\w/e flying around in most episodes. if you can't handle it, or you are offended by sexual content, DO NO WATCH it. otherwise, it's a must.
