How are the anime recommendations computed?
This is a bit oversimplified, but your profile (how you have rated various anime titles) is compared to people with the most similar profiles, and their highest-rated anime titles that you haven't rated are recommended for you.
The recommendations suck!
There can be many reasons for this. Most likely you have rated so few anime titles that computing accurate recommendations simply isn't possible.
If you are certain you don't want to see an anime you're recommended, you can add it to your ignore list from the anime's page (accessed by clicking on the anime's name). But maybe you should just give it a try. Don't be prejudiced and you might find something unexpected. :)
